I can’t have my iTunes on shuffle anymore because listening to my old music makes me extremely unsettled inside. Apparently, scent is the strongest sense associated to memories, but there’s no aroma that’s been able to compare to that jolting sensation that I get when A7X or The Rasmus or H.I.M. or any of the beautifully angry music I listened to as an angsty preteen/teen comes up. For a slight moment, I can feel myself as a 15 year old, back home in Jersey, and everything feels a little off-kilter.
Bah.
