jittery

I can’t tell if I’ve been sitting still for way too long or I’m super anticipatory or I’ve somehow ingested like three caffeine pills without realizing. I also keep thinking that I can hear people knocking on my door, so I keep running into the hallway and looking around. I have SO MUCH EXCESS ENERGY. Even typing this Tumblr entry is slightly difficult as I keep spazzing o.O I hope I can dispell it all before interviews tomorrow x__x

Time to go running? :O

HAHA, I’m funny.

;_; I’m so unfit.

On the other hand - I came across the wikipedia article on Persistence Hunting. So that’s what it’s called! It’s when you chase down an animal for miles and miles at a time until it collapses out of exhaustion.

You spend so much of your childhood learning about how humans’ main evolutionary weapon was their higher cognitive skills, and we were weak and hairless and scrawny. (Maybe an appreciation for underdog stories is wired into our genetics.) But it’s so cool to realize that we as a species do have one of the most advanced thermo(cardio?)-regulation systems. Our protruding noses allow for more air flow to our lungs, which allows us to oxygenate our blood much better. Hairlessness and sweat glands under our skills allows us to cool down faster. (Did you know humans and horses are practically the only mammals that sweat? o.O) All this put together means that humans are practically the species for endurance running.

Hey, We’re physically specialized also!

;__; Well. I guess I’m a genotypical (or phenotypical -  I prefer genotypical… because then it won’t be my fault I can’t run :P ) anomaly that way also…

er…

Happy Valentine’s Day!
